I found this website a few weeks ago and decided to buy Salvia to give it a try; I read the tips for smoking salvia and made a water bong with a 2 liter soda bottle...The taste of the smoke was nothing special and it didn't feel strong at all, like a weed puff, I held it for as long as I could but I took too much and after like 20 seconds I coughed it out.
The first thing I felt is I'm being pushed out of my body, like something went inside of me to look for my soul or my essence and grabbed it and took it out from my body. My first reaction was to fight it, it wasn't scary but I felt the instinct of remaining inside of my body...
I was sitting in a chair and I tried to stand up to go to bed but now I see why they recommend that you lay down and don't move, my body wanted to move, but my mind was somewhere else and I couldn't find the courage to stand up. I guess I was making some visible moves because my brother helped me stand up and lay down in bed (I don't remember but my brother said I was mumbling I wanted to fly to bed).
As soon as I laid down I reached the climax: I reconnected with my body and I felt my whole being synchronizing perfectly to my body rhythm, I could feel my blood running through my veins, my heart beating, my skin breathing and even every little muscle twitch was noticed deliciously. It wasn't a synchronization or union like if I was meditating, I think meditation makes it all timeless or feel the body and everything really slowly and calm, in this case I became one with my blood circulation, *I* was circulating through my veins, and was feeling everything in a different time and speed measures, not as we see and feel them as humans, but as the cells and tissues of living things experience this things, in a whole different level.
It's really hard to explain what I felt that night, but I opened my eyes with a really positive and relaxed feeling, proud of the fact that I was able to connect with my body by adapting to it and its functions, instead of adapting my body to my senses, if that makes any sense.
Salvia Divinorum is AMAZING, I thought I had an idea of its effects but now I realize that this plant has to be experienced to really get a slight idea of its power.
