Martha's Salvia Divinorum Experience:
Unexpected escape out of this world

This is a little report about my first (and only) Salvia Divinorum experience, I wish I knew a little bit about salvia before I tried it, but it was an amazing experience nonetheless:

About a month ago me and my best friend were having a lazy weekend, just smoking some weed and watching movies at my friend's house.

On saturday, a couple of her friends came to visit and they were really excited because they had just got a package with Salvia Divinorum extracts... I've smoked weed for many years now, but never tried any other drug, so I was a little reluctant to try salvia at first.

So these guys loaded a pipe and finally one of them decided to try it first (I think it was a 10x extract). To make the story short, 10 minutes later this guy was up and telling us that it's an experience that we definitely had to try. Seemed like a nice, short trip, so i decided to try it.

The first hit from the bong made me cough, not because it was harsh, but because I took a huge hit and I didn't expect the smoke to taste like that. I then inhaled again and tried to hold it for as much as I could...

I don't really remember what happened right after, I didn't notice any transition or transformation, suddenly I was in a totally different place, and I wasn't even aware that I just smoked salvia. I became aware that I was not alone and that there were some people in the room with me, yet, I didn't have a clue of who they were or why was I sitting with them.

One of them was looking at me and moving her mouth and I realized that if I concentrated I could break the invisible barrier that was separating us and make up a meaning of all the noises that she was doing with her mouth: she was asking if I was alright and as soon as I listened to that words I realized that this person was my best friend and that somehow she managed to follow me into this strange place to take care of me. This thought caused me to laugh uncontrollably for several minutes, even when tears came running down my face and my stomach ached I couldn't stop laughing, there was something really comical in that situation that wouldn't let me stop.

After a few minutes I felt as if an invisible being was grabbing my soul, my essence or whatever, and sticking it back into my body, it was as if after being allowed to wander into a place or dimension that's always there but we can not contemplate physically, it was time to come back to the material world we have grown to know and trust. This is the feeling I remember most vividly, as I suddenly stopped laughing and it hit me that I had smoked some weird stuff that these people had brought.

When I was back into myself, my friend told me that I kept saying "the barriers must evaporate" every time she asked me something, and to my surprise she told me that just 15 minutes had passed since I smoked the salvia divinorum extract.

Salvia Divinorum is not a joke, it is a really potent psychedelic and I have a great reespect for that plant. i have thought of my salvia divinorum experience many times and I think I would like to try it again but in a more familiar place like my room with my friend as a sitter.
