Coleus Blumei
___________________
A Psychoactive Plant?

Coleus Blumei and Coleus Pumilus are two gorgeous, intense-colored kinds of Coleus that can be commonly found in gardens and in nurseries around the world.

The Mazatecs use this plant and Salvia Divinorum in a similar way and believe that they belong to the same plant family: Salvia is the female, the Coleus pumilus is the male and the Coleus Blumei is "el nene" or "el ahijado" (the godson).

________________________________

Although no psychoactive substance has been found in the Coleus plant, many people report feeling a glowy, dreamy, bright effect when ingesting a high amount of Coleus leaves.

But Coleus' real power and mystery is appreciated and understood
only in the Dream Realm.

Apparently there's something in the Coleus plant that "powers up" the dreaming experience: my very first Lucid Dream happened one night when I drunk 50 blended leaves right before going to bed...

Even if you don't become lucid, you'll be having "Hi-Def Dreams"

These are two of the plants I've grown from seed and use occasionally when I want to add unexpected twists and depth to a night's dreaming:

This is how I use Coleus to maximize the juice of my dreams:

    Get 10 very big leaves or 30, 40 or even 50 medium sized leaves(5 - 7 cm / 2 - 3 inch)

    Wash them thoroughly.

Now, you can either eat them one by one (the taste isn't that gross actually) or put them in a blender and make a Coleus shake out of them by adding water. Don't use honey or sugar if you can help it, it is better to go to bed without the sugar for the dreams.

As Salvia Divinorum, Coleus may be absorbed into the body by the mucosa rather than by the stomach, so keep the leaves under your tongue and chew them periodically trying to keep the juice in your mouth for as long as you can (same goes if you made a brew).

It can take as long as 45 minutes to start feeling some mild effects.

After swallowing all the leaves, just relax and forget about it and lay down (if you get too impatient for the effects, you may start feeling placebo effects that will only confuse you)

If you're still awake after an hour or two (not recommended) maybe you'll start feeling a nice warmth through your body, lights may look brighter, everything turns a bit more surreal; but maybe you won't feel anything at all... there aren't any guarantees with this plant.
