I have had almost a 3 year relationship with salvia, its been a wild ride to say the least. My first breakthrough came after a deployment to iraq where i read an article about it in GQ. I was on a mission to find it. And being in the washington state area where headshops are prevalent is wasnt hard. Me and a buudy went to a headshop and bought a gram of the stuff a piece took it home and tried it over a weekend. I loaded a bowl and tried to take small puffs after the plant material was lit. This causes very light effects. kinda of a feeling of walking upsatirs but nothing significant. I called my buddy and he told me that it blew his mind. He carefully instructed me to keep the flame on the salvia and kinda move it over the bowl in a circle to make sure it was all burned and at the same time inhale hold it in as long as I could and he guranteed it would work. Side note:smoking technique is everthing when trying to have a breaktrhough experience EVERYTHING inhale the very very harsh smoke and do not let anything escape hold it in your lungs for at least 30 seconds and it will completely blast you off into the beyond!Thats exactly what happened...everything started to pulse as if there was an audible beat or pulse. Everything seems to take a tropical leafy aztec like motif for me and i can sorta see feel entities populating my surroundings that speak. It seems as if im am in the midst of some grand procession or celebration. Central to this celebration is a definite female goddess in my best estimation is the essence of this plant or maybe mother earth. Then Everything takes on a flipping or spinning motion which you recognize as realities multiple realities that remind me of the wheel on the wheel of fortune and they spin in same fashion. the whole experience is kind of blurry fear starts to overwhelm you. I knew that i was dead and i felt like my entire had been an illusion. I feared that i would never see my family again. and the world started to recreate itself but it knew it was not the same world i knew that it was a different place that just looked identical. Somewhere in my mind i still believe my original body is in some asylum somewhere and im living inside of my mind populated by my memories and imagination. Then i realized that it could be true but how would i ever know. where is the original me? have i done this before? i called my buddy to make sure he was real and since i was home alone i had to walk outside to make sure everthing still exsisted. Thank God everything was still there. But i had the knowledge now. I knew there was something beyond. After coming back to grips with everything concepts ran through my mind that i cannot shake and caused me to investigate. Salvia sets you on a path. what all the quantum scientist theorize about salvia teaches in an instant. You realize that infinity is the concept that we cannot grasp. So til this day i am unsure about this so called real world. So if you choose to use do realize salvia is no party fun plant, it is a teacher and a sacred plant.
